William & Mary Catt of Willingdon
William Catt, son of William and Catherine was baptised at Eastbourne, St Mary, on 10th November 1754.
Mary Mewett, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth, was baptised in Willingdon on 13th September 1747.
William Catt married Mary Mewett in Willingdon on 19th May 1777 and they had the following children baptised there:

Harriett had been widowed before the 1841 census and at the 1861 census she was boarding with her son James, a butcher, and his family at 33 Cinque Ports Street. She died in 1862 by which time she would have been 84.

William was a farm labourer and he and Sarah were in Willingdon in 1841. He was buried there, aged 67, on 3rd May 1846.

John was a farm labourer in 1841 but by 1851 he was a coal -----? And they were living at Pipers Cottage which was near Pevensey church. With John and Ann were their widowed son Benjamin and their married son William and his family. Benjamin and William were both railway labourers. Ann died in 1859.
